My presentation "Tracking the Brontës" has now been performed some 40 times.  It's a one-hour presentation with music, of the Brontë family story linked with the birth of the railways. It uses songs from my musical "Bells" which is featured on my Theatre page

It's been at lots of West, East and North Yorkshire venues, with more to come.  You can see film of some musical items on my YouTube Channel

We celebrated Anne B’s 200th birthday in Scarborough in January 2020. The photo shows me presenting "Tracking the Brontës" at Woodend in Scarborough at that event.

And on 28 May 2024 a performance took place at St Mary's Church very close to Anne's grave (7.30pm) on the 175th anniversary of her early death.  This completes a day of commemoration of Anne reflecting her affection for Scarborough - and Scarborough's affection for HER. See

As a variation on this project May 4th 2023 -  For an hour I was "Ringing Bells for Brontës" at the piano at Leeds Playhouse, as part of their 1000 Stories event.  This was filmed and is now available below, plus more on Reviews Page

Feedback from audience of 50+ Swanland Jan 2023:

It was a super afternoon for our members and your presentation - life of the Brontes, Railways,  slides, songs and humour - was really memorable. I received the following comments:

- a good presentation with many diamonds.

- great afternoon, send our thanks to Eddie and Elaine

- very enjoyable.

- a very unusual way to approach the topic. We really    enjoyed  it.

- great songs, great singers.

- enjoyed the trick with the picture and the sad song. It made an interesting point about Branwell.

And from Driffield & Wolds, August 2023: "On behalf of Driffield U3A members I would like to thank you and Elaine for your very whistle stop presentation of the Brontë family complete with some lovely songs ! I learned more about the Brontes on Thursday than I ever have before in a more interesting way too!"
